Yesterday I met up with one of my all time favorite family’s to do an urban photo shoot with them. They are so easy going and you can tell how much they love each other. It shows in the way that they interact with one another, in their smiles and even in the way they treat me!
It doesn’t exactly hurt that they’re so good looking!

Two of my best friends had a very special 09-09-09. Their precious little boy was born so Mishelle and I dropped by the hospital to see him when he was barely an hour old! I love this shot of Sara and Cameron.

One of the great joys of doing what I do is capturing memories for families. And what’s even better is becoming the family’s “photographer” in that I have done multiple shoots with them as their family grows. I met up with the Michael’s when their first little guy was born, and it was awesome to get to do some more photos of them with the addition of a little sister!

Last week I had the opportunity to hang out with some old friends and shoot some pictures of their beautiful family. I met Chet, well, before I can remember! I have known him since preschool when we met at Calvary Church in Santa Ana. Now the Williams live in Ecuador where they are missionaries working with the Huaorani people. They have been back in the states on furlough and so we got together to get them some updated photos.

I recently shot some studio portraits of a great family with their 3 kids and their dog! It was a lot of fun and the pictures came out great. In case any of you out there were wondering about studio portraits, I shoot them here at my house. It’s not what I usually do, but I really enjoy it because it stretches me a bit. Shooting in the studio is a totally different animal than going out and shooting natural light environmental portraits. But it’s important to me to know and I take pride in being able to work in a number of different settings! So here are a few of my favorites…
