Father’s Day Weekend

Happy belated Father’s Day to all of you dads out there!  I had a great weekend, even though I was working part of it.  The celebration started on Saturday with the First Annual Father’s Day Weekend Chili Cookoff at the Kalamaras’ house.  It was a great party with a ton of kids and some awesome chili.  Here are some of my favorite images from the day.

I love this shot of my newphew with the monster reverse jam!  Sorry for “posterizing” you B!!

Sunday, I was working at the Fire Station.  But my family, parents and dog came on up to Glendale to visit me!   It’s always cool to have my family at the station.

That hose doesn’t put itself away!

It’s a bit rough getting in the rig with all that gear on!

It was a great Father’s Day weekend and I hope all you dads out there enjoyed it as well!

Bailey’s Bat Mitzvah

A few weeks ago I posted Bailey’s portraits and last weekend it was her big day!  First some shots of the Bat Mitzvah ceremony.  Bailey’s temple doesn’t allow photographers during the ceremony, so these were taken at the rehearsal.

Then onto the party!  The event was held at the Fairmont Hotel’s Bamboo Garden.  The planning and decoration was taken care of by Jane Fischel.  First some details…

Let’s have a Hora!

Bailey’s sister Paige broke her arm a couple weeks ago, but she made sure her cast and dress matched!

The DJ and entertainment was taken care of by H2H.  If you are planning a party and you need a DJ, you can’t go wrong with these guys!  They kept the party going all night!

It was a great party and I was honored to be in charge of capturing a lot of fun memories!  Thanks for inviting me and congratulations Bailey!

Riley’s Portraits

Last year I took some photos of Riley down at the beach, but her mom was looking for something with a more formal feel to them, since the photos were in honor of her First Communion.  Riley is a total character and her favorite thing to do is make me laugh…like this!

Not exactly formal feeling!  But she is absolutely beautiful so I have to be quick with the shutter to catch her occasional serious moment.  These first two are a couple of my favorite photos, maybe ever.  I love the “angelic” feeling.
