This is a bit of a crazy story. But it really shows just how the internet has made our world, in some ways, a very small place. Thanks Al Gore! Anyway, back in June, I was contacted by an administrator of The Jewish Museum of Berlin regarding a photo I had on my blog. The photo is of a girl, her mom and her grandmother saying the blessing over a Challah at a Bat Mitzvah. You can see the photos from that I took of that Bat Mitzvah HERE. The reason why I was being contacted is that the museum was planning an exhibit on the relationship between food and religion and they wanted to display my photo in the exhibit. I received a package this week which is the book that accompanies the museum exhibit.
And sure enough, on Page 133, there’s my photo!

With my credit at the bottom of the page. I like how California is spelled with a “K” in German. I might start spelling it that way too.

And here’s a shot of the room where my photo is hung. You can kind of see it in the lower left corner of the collage on the wall.

The museum has an average annual visitation of 750,000, so it’s quite an honor to be part of this exhibit! So if you happen to find yourself in Berlin in the near future, be sure to visit the Jewish Museum and tell them you know the guy that took that photo
