Happy 55th Anniversary Disneyland!

Today I was at Disneyland shooting an event for my buddy Noah.  Today is Disneyland’s 55th Anniversary, so he painted 55 original Vinylmation characters to commemorate the occasion.  They looked absolutely amazing.  I did wander the for a bit and grabbed some shots of the park as it is today.  When you look at photos from opening day, July 17, 1955,  you get a true appreciation for what an incredible visionary Walt Disney really was.  I’m convinced that he saw the park not for what he had created at that time but what it was going to look like 55 years later.

Metal Mickey

The other day I dropped by Noah’s studio to take a couple of promo shots of him putting the finishing touches on a painting that he was working on for Arturo Fuente’s annual God of Fire fundraiser.

And while I was there, I picked up something for my son too.  It’s Metal Mickey!  He was so stoked when he saw it.  It’s a limited edition collector’s Vinylmation piece that Noah custom designed for Disney.

Untitled-1

Disney has come a long way now that Mickey is sporting some ink.  At least he’s still sticking with the white gloves and pants pulled up to his arm pits!

Thanks again brother!
